Our
consulting services may involve reviews of
total compensation programs, development of
new plans to meet client needs and objectives,
and assistance in program implementation and
communication. In other instances, we may
provide research support, develop plans involving
a single compensation element, or advise clients
in very specific areas, such as the compensation
implications of corporate restructurings or
joint ventures. We also conduct reviews on
behalf of board compensation committees in
cooperation with management. Our practice
is not limited to plans for senior management
but extends to all-employee incentive and
profit-sharing plans, stock ownership plans,
and other financial and non-financial reward
systems.
We
are proud to have served over 2,000 corporations
since our founding in 1973, many for a long
period of years. Many of our clients are among
the largest companies in the world, including
over half of Business Week's 250 largest market
capitalization companies. Other clients have
been small to mid-size firms, private companies
and start-up ventures.
We
are known as a firm specializing in the design
of compensation programs tailored to a particular
business situation and strategy. We are not
a survey firm. When assessing the competitiveness
of a client's pay programs, we may use publicly
available research, conduct a custom survey
or use internally available materials on a
confidential basis.
In
developing compensation programs which reflect
and support a client's particular structure,
philosophy and strategic objectives, we work
closely with client personnel to ensure that
recommendations are closely attuned to the
company's situation and needs. An added benefit
is that a client's commitment to a new program
is enhanced by direct involvement in the development
of the program.
